Esther Tsai studied human biology and cellular neuroscience at Stanford University. She is the author of Why Beauty Matters (2013), with publications ranging from psychiatry (American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology) to philosophy and aesthetics. She lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband.
